How to become a new patient

To schedule your new patient visit, plesae call our office at (423) 573-9873. Your first visit with be with one of our Nurse Practitions who have all been trained by Dr. Schrenker in holistic medicine. They will get your history, order any bloodwork they feel is necessary, then upon your check-out process, your 2nd visit will be scheduled 2-3 weeks from then to review your blood work and set your plan of care. For your second visit, you may request that visit be with Dr. Schrenker or continue seeing the NP you saw at your first visit. Again, all of our providers are holistically minded and follow the protocols personally taught to them by Dr. Schrenker. Please note that we do not accept Medicaid. We ask that you check with your insurance provider to make sure our office is covered. We do offer private pay options as well.

Patient Forms

You will receive a text and/or email from the office before your appointment to fill out you patient forms electronically. Prior to each office visit, you will receive this text and/or email that must be completed prior to your visit. This verifies to us all of your address and insurance information is correctly. Once a year, it will walk you through updating all of your HIPPA and other policies that we must have on file.   Patients with questions about any of our forms or the electric check-in process are welcome to contact our office at (423) 573-9873.

Insurance Information

Everyone who walks through our doors is treated with respect, integrity, and love. We expect the same in return. Not many things invoke anger like getting an unexpected bill. Like begets like, so we need to have an understanding.

Integrated Health Concepts participates with many insurance companies. Some major carriers include:

  • BCBS
  • Anthem
  • Humana
  • United Health Care
  • Aetna
  • Highlands Wellmont Network

If you do not see your plan listed, please contact the customer service number listed on your insurance card to verify that Dr. James Schrenker is a participating provider.

We are not responsible for your medical condition, nor are we responsible for the decision your insurance company makes in regards to this condition. Sometimes the insurance coverage you have chosen does not cover what you are complaining about, or may not cover a test needed to diagnose your problem. Remember, your insurance contract is between you and your insurance company. Their payment to us is on your behalf, for you. When you ask someone else to pay your bill, you are beholden to what they ultimately decide. Even after final payment there may be a balance due, and I expect you to honor this. Obviously, if we can help we will; if there is a mistake on our part we will correct it. When you walk through our doors you are making a contract to pay for our services. The insurance coverage you may or may not have is not my primary concern. I care about you, the individual. I trust you are here to get the help you have not found elsewhere. It is not our intention to spend our time negotiating payment with you or your insurance company. I choose to spend my time helping you, enabling you to attain better health and well being. This is our expertise—this is ultimately why you have chosen Integrated Health Concepts.
